Remedial Massage

If you suffer from chronic pain remedial massage can help you on the road to recovery. Remedial massage therapists are trained to understand the way our bodies work and use specialised techniques to ease pain resulting from injury or illness such as arthritis, fibrositis, whiplash, muscular atrophy or sports-related injuries.
Remedial massage, also known as deep tissue massage, stimulates blood supply, calms peripheral nerves and helps to tone and relax muscles allowing for improved mobility. Muscles, tendons and ligaments that are knotted, tense or damaged affect our mood and behaviour day in, day out; remedial massage treats the body holistically and supports the body’s own healing mechanisms.
Sessions are generally 30 to 60 minutes.
Acupuncture Therapy
Based on ancient Chinese theories of the flow of Qi (energy) through distinct pathways, acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy throughout our bodies and enhances and energises us.
Helping to relieve pain and restore health to body and mind, Lee Massage and Acupuncture is pleased to offer this holistic therapy to our clients.
Cupping

Do you want to feel that invigorating tingle of energy through your body? Assisting your body to clear itself of toxins and blockages by stimulating circulation, heated cups create a partial vacuum on the skin allowing localised healing to take place.
Cupping brings fresh blood to treated areas and releases rigid soft tissue and restores muscles. The suction creates negative pressure to loosen and stretch tight muscles and fascia. Often red circular markings appear that may take a few days to fade – this is a normal part of the cupping process.
Cupping is just one of the many services we provide
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is an experience that goes beyond traditional relaxation massage; a combination of massage with heated stones and aromatic oils, hot stone massage will break down tension and stress in your muscles, improve your mood and leave you feeling deeply relaxed.
Benefits of this ancient form of healing will be felt in your mind and body as you:
- reduce pain, inflammation, swelling, scar formation and allergic reactions
- accelerate healing and regeneration
- improve blood flow and oxygen capacity
- regulate immune function.
Foot Reflexology & Spa
‘My feet are killing me!’ How often have you made that same comment, but done nothing to ease the discomfort? Based on acupuncture points, foot reflexology is a method of stimulating the reflex points in the feet, which leads to relaxing and rejuvenating each and every part of your body.
Not just a way to relax and ease tension, foot reflexology and spa will help to increase circulation and boost your immune system.

Ear Candling
Ear Candling is a non-invasive remedy for removing toxins and excess wax from the ear canal to improve circulation and stimulate the immune system – and may be a great alternative remedy for children’s ear problems.
* Fungal Infections
* Excess wax build up
* Sinus pain & irritation
* Toxic residue from medications * Inner ear pressure
* Headache / Migraine
* Ringing in the ear
* Hearing challenges
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the inhalation of plant oils, called essential oils, for improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Essential oils are the pure essence of the plant and can provide both psychological and physical benefits. The inhaled aroma from these oils stimulates brain function, and when absorbed through the skin, travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing.
Chinese Acupressure Massage
At Nuhealth we uses acupressure using the fingers and other parts of the body to skillfully press key points, which stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities. When these trigger points are pressed, they release muscular tension, and promote circulation of blood, and the body’s life force energy to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure are similar where they use the same pressure points and meridians. Acupressure can help alleviate ailments such as tension, stress, aches and pains, arthritis or menstrual cramps. Acupressure can also be used for general preventative health care.
Moxibustion
Moxbustion is the application of heat to acupuncture points or sensitive locations on the body. Moxibustion warms and stimulates blood and qi circulation, removes obstruction of the channels and eliminates cold and damp in muscles and joints rendering it the treatment of choice for pain and stiffness, arthritis, frozen shoulder and lower back pain. Other conditions that improve with heat including stomach pain, painful periods, cold hands and feet, lack of energy, winter coughs, colds and runny nose respond extremely well to moxibustion.
Moxibustion therapy is an excellent substitute for those who are overly sensitive to needle stimulation, children and the frail.
